IQ City United World School of Business, Kolkata had a glittering galaxy of stars from diverse fields to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025. A panel discussion on ‘Nurturing Resilience for Success’, moderated by Professor Sahana Ghosh, delved on various aspects of women’s lives that lead them to success and happiness.
Swati Gautam, founder CEO of Necessity Swati Gautam, India’s only brand of customized to size foundation garments for women, regaled students and teachers, with her 35 years of journey in entrepreneurship. She has made such a mark in her niche that she continues to thrive in a strictly offline business even when such a business model is on the brink of extinction.
Shivani Shah Agarwalla, a Chartered Accountant by profession and a sportsperson by passion is India’s only six-time world champion in kettlebell lifting. She urged students to be serious about physical fitness, sleep nutrition and self-love. She said it is never about ‘not getting time’ but all about ‘making time’ for a fitness regime.
Tapasya Dasgupta, who switched from a 9 to 5 job to be full-time actor and violinist, said that the world of entertainment is more about hard work than glamour and glitz. Trained in acting from National School of Drama as well as London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, following one’s heart is the key to success in life.
