IQ City United World School Of Business, Uni-Sports Club organized an Intra-College Football tournament on 10 January 2025 at Stryck, rooftop, Infinity Benchmark, Street Number 22, GP Block, Sector V, Bidhannagar, Kolkata, West Bengal 700091, . We had a total of 12 boys teams and 2 girls’ teams. It was a knockout tournament format, in which the qualifying, semi-final, and final rounds consisted of 30 minutes each. So, in the first round, six matches were played among the boys to get the quarter-finalist. After all the matches, we got six boys quarter-finalists.
From the second round of quarter-final matches, we got our three semifinalist teams (team 2, team 10 & team 11). Later on, the first semi-final match was played among the boys between team 2 and team 10, where team 10 and team 2, both had scored one goal each and hence the winner of the match was decided by a toss in which team 10 won the toss and moved to the final round as our first finalist. In the second round, team 11 played against the losing team from the first round i.e. team 2, and in this match, team 11 managed to score 2 goals while on the other hand team 2 did not score even a single goal and hence team 11 moved to the final round as our second finalist.
Later on, the final match was played between team 11 and team 10 in which team 11 had scored one goal and team 10 did not score any goal and as a result, team 11 became the winner of the final match of the tournament.
On the other hand, since there were only 2 girls teams, they had a friendly match that was not a part of the tournament. In the match, team 1 played against team 2 and team 2 won by one goal against team 1.
Later on, there was a prize distribution ceremony only for the boys team, in which each of the players of the winning team got a gold medal and the entire team received a champions trophy by our respected Principal ma’am Prof. Dr. Meenakshi Khemka. The players of the runners-up team also received a silver medal each.
